Privacy Policy
How PrintQly handles personal information, documents, partner-shop fulfilment, security and privacy requests.
1. About PrintQly and the scope of this Policy
PrintQly operates printqly.com as a technology platform that helps customers identify and communicate printing requirements to independent partner print shops. PrintQly does not itself operate the printing machinery used by partner shops. The actual printing, finishing, packing and, where applicable, delivery are performed or arranged by the selected partner shop.
This Privacy Policy explains how PrintQly may collect, use, store, disclose and otherwise process personal information when a person visits the website, creates an account, uploads or manages documents, uses the document Vault, searches for shops, places or tracks a printing request, communicates with support, interacts with advertisements, or otherwise uses PrintQly services.
2. Information we may collect
Depending on the service used, PrintQly may collect information such as name, mobile number, email address, account credentials, profile information, state/district/city, address and pincode, shop selections, order and service details, support communications, device/browser information, IP address, security logs, cookies and similar technical information.
Where the service requires a document upload, the platform may receive the document file and associated information such as filename, file type, size, page count, selected print settings, selected shop and order reference. Documents may contain personal or confidential information. Customers should upload only documents they are entitled to submit and should avoid uploading information that is unnecessary for the requested service.
Payment information depends on the payment method actually used. Where the customer pays the selected print shop directly through the shop's UPI/QR or another direct method, PrintQly does not collect or hold that payment as a payment recipient. Transaction records or payment references may nevertheless be received or stored where necessary for order status, reconciliation, support, fraud prevention or legal compliance.
3. How we use information
Information may be used to create and secure accounts; provide the PrintQly workflow; store, display, retrieve or delete documents as requested; transmit a selected document and print instructions to the selected partner shop for fulfilment; show shop and location results; manage orders and status; provide customer support; maintain security; prevent fraud and abuse; troubleshoot technical problems; maintain records required by law; communicate service notices; and improve the platform.
We do not use uploaded documents for unrelated purposes merely because they are available to the platform. Processing is intended to be connected to the requested service, security, support, operational administration or a legal obligation.
4. Partner print shops and service fulfilment
A selected partner print shop may need access to the document and print instructions in order to fulfil the customer's request. The shop is an independent business and is responsible for its own premises, employees, equipment, printing process, handling practices, payment collection and delivery arrangements.
PrintQly may share the minimum information reasonably required for fulfilment, support, safety, fraud prevention and legal compliance. Customers should understand that once information is made available to a selected partner, the partner's own handling of that information is also relevant. PrintQly does not authorise a partner to use customer documents for unrelated purposes.
5. Document Vault, deletion and retention
PrintQly may provide a Document Vault or similar storage facility. A customer may be able to delete documents through the available interface. Deletion from the user interface may not immediately remove every technical copy, backup, security log or record that must be retained for a legitimate purpose or legal requirement.
PrintQly aims to retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the stated purpose, service operation, dispute handling, security, accounting, fraud prevention and legal compliance. Retention periods may differ by data type. When information is no longer required and there is no lawful reason to retain it, it should be deleted or anonymised in accordance with applicable requirements and operational capability.
6. Security
PrintQly uses reasonable technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information handled. These may include access controls, authentication, logging, restricted administrative access, secure transport, database protections, backups and other measures appropriate to the system.
No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Customers should protect their passwords, device access and account recovery information and should notify PrintQly promptly if they suspect unauthorised access.
Nothing in this Policy is intended to exclude or reduce any security, breach-notification or other legal obligation that cannot lawfully be excluded.
7. Cookies and technical information
PrintQly may use cookies, local storage, session identifiers and similar technologies to keep users signed in, remember preferences, operate security controls, measure technical performance and understand how the website is used. Some features may not work correctly if required cookies are disabled.
Third-party services used for analytics, security, hosting, payment-related functions or embedded content may process technical information according to their own terms and policies.
8. Advertising and third-party links
PrintQly may display advertisements supplied by PrintQly, partner businesses or third-party advertising providers. An advertisement may link to a separate website or shop page. PrintQly does not automatically endorse every claim, offer, product, service, price, promise or quality statement made by an advertiser.
The advertiser or linked business is responsible for its own products, services, representations and fulfilment, subject to applicable law. Customers should verify important terms directly with the advertiser or service provider before making a purchase or relying on an advertisement.
9. Children's information
PrintQly is not designed to knowingly solicit unnecessary personal information from children. Where a service involves a child, a parent or lawful guardian should supervise and provide information where required. PrintQly will handle children's personal data in accordance with applicable legal requirements, including any additional safeguards that apply when the Digital Personal Data Protection framework is operative for the relevant processing.
10. User rights and requests
Subject to applicable law and verification requirements, a person may request information about personal data processed about them, correction of inaccurate information, deletion where legally available, withdrawal of consent where consent is the applicable basis, or assistance with a grievance.
Requests should be made through PrintQly's published contact channel. PrintQly may request reasonable information to verify the identity of the requester and may retain information where required by law or necessary for legitimate records, security, dispute resolution or enforcement.
11. Grievance and privacy contact
Privacy-related requests and grievances may be submitted through the PrintQly Contact channel. The customer-facing contact email currently configured as the site's default is hello@printqly.com; the live Contact page and its administrative settings should be treated as the operational source for current contact details.
Where a Data Protection Officer, grievance officer or other designated officer is required by applicable law or rules for a particular category of processing, PrintQly will publish the required details and mechanism.
12. Data sharing and legal disclosures
PrintQly may disclose information to partner shops selected by the customer, service providers and processors who support hosting, security, communications, storage or other platform functions, professional advisers, insurers or auditors where appropriate, and public authorities or courts when disclosure is required or permitted by law.
PrintQly does not sell uploaded customer documents as a product. Any disclosure remains subject to the purpose for which the information is processed and applicable law.
13. Changes to this Policy
PrintQly may update this Policy when the platform, law, technology, partner model or processing practices change. The latest version will be published on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use after an update will be subject to the revised Policy to the extent permitted by law.
14. Governing law and jurisdiction
This Policy is intended to operate under the laws applicable in India. For disputes that may lawfully be submitted to the courts, the parties intend that courts having competent jurisdiction in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, will be the forum, subject to mandatory statutory jurisdiction, consumer remedies and any other jurisdiction that cannot legally be excluded.
A reference to Chennai or the Madras High Court is not intended to remove rights or jurisdiction that applicable Indian law makes mandatory.
15. Important limitation
This Privacy Policy describes the intended privacy framework of PrintQly; it is not a promise that every technical or operational risk can be eliminated. No website, storage system, partner network or transmission method is completely risk-free.
Nothing in this Policy limits a person's statutory rights or excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or restricted under applicable law.
